I Finally Started Using Face Masks (My First Hydrogel Mask Review)

In Korea, sheet masks are very common.
Some cost less than a dollar,
so even people who don’t really take care of their skin
still use them from time to time.

I thought it would be the same everywhere,
but apparently it’s not.

Anyway,
even though they are so common,
I rarely used them.

I didn’t like how the essence would drip down my neck,
and I didn’t like feeling like I couldn’t do anything
while wearing one.

But recently,
I started thinking
maybe I should start taking care of my skin.

So I bought some face masks on sale.

These days in Korea,
hydrogel masks are trending.
They feel like jelly
and come in two separate pieces
for the upper and lower face.

They claim to have a lifting effect,
but what I liked the most
was that the essence didn’t drip.

(Not an ad. I just tried it recently and wanted to write about it.)

👉 I used a hydrogel face mask for the first time, and this is my honest review.

That night,
I fell asleep with the mask on.
Of course, I didn’t keep it on all night—
I took it off when I woke up in the middle of the night.

But—

it actually worked.

I don’t know how to describe it exactly,
but my skin looked a bit clearer,
a bit brighter.

And honestly,
that felt pretty nice.

So this year,
I’m thinking of using face masks
about twice a week.

I’m not sure yet,
but it feels like something might change.

I just hope
my skin gets better.
